A Reconfigurable MIMO Antenna System for Wireless Communications

    Get PDF
A reconfigurable antenna system is proposed to improve data throughput limitations in multiple input multiple output wireless communication systems in this investigation. The4×4 MIMO antenna is designed to operate in the 2.4 and 2.6 GHz for  Wireless  Local  Area  Network  (WLAN)  and  Long  TermEvolution (LTE) applications. The system’s radiation pattern re-configurability is  realized by  using the  microcontroller-drivenPIN diode switching concept. Simulations and measurements exhibited good agreements for the single, 2×2 MIMO and 4×4MIMO configurations. The antenna is operational between 2.387to 2.628 GHz, while the simulated and measured reflection coefficients are at least -24.3 dB. All configurations produced anarrow beam forward radiation, while the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) and diversity gain for the two MIMO configurations are below 0.5 and at least 9 dBi, respectively

In general, the process of developing new standards had problems in early the development process. In particular to identify what steps are necessary to develop new standards. Methodology of writing this article was conducted using the methodology of FACTS (Framework for Analysis, Comparison and Testing of the Standard). The results of this paper are the new standard for the Indonesian National Standard of Lithium-ion Battery Cell Ferro Phosphate for Electric Vehicle Applications. The standard of development data is can be use by automotive industrial and also for the government to decide new policy on electric vehicle especially in Indonesia

Integration Protocol Student Academic Information to Campus RFID Gate Pass System

Nowadays, security is a part that consent by many institution including academic for example in University campus, some  of  campus  have  been  implement  automatic  system  in campus area to control visitor to enter University also for   the staffs and students, but the system is in standalone with introduce new gate pass. Most of University has been use Information Technology (IT) in application for academic system such as student information, registration, results information, etc. In this paper discuss on integration of student information to gate pass system then do not require new card or pass for every student to enter campus area. Gate pass system is required information to match to database that who allow entering to campus, normally a new database is create for the system. In this case, University has student and staff database including lecturer, thus to be efficient the data in existing database can be use and integration using protocol that gate pass system give a command to database as request then verification of those data. Currently, student database stored in server room and the place far away from gate pass system, in order to make it transaction faster for visitor to enter then a mini database is setup onsite of gate system, but periodic updating is require or every new update in database. Results shows, database stored in student information system is more than 30,000 number of student and transaction time is less than 1 second and in average cycle time is 5.5 seconds for motorcycle lane and 7 seconds for car, that mean time for visitor to access gate pass system for entry campus is most reasonable

Designing Framework for Standardization Case Study: Lithium-Ion Battery Module in Electric Vehicle Application

Standardization is one of the important things before to deploy a product. Regulation such as national standard has important roles in industry. The roles of standard such as ensuring safety for consumer and producer, increasing product competitiveness, and reducing trade berries. Indonesia is currently in the stage of developing industry of electric vehicle, so that standard which is related to electric vehicle, one of it is standard for the electric vehicle battery. Besides that, Indonesia does not have a relevant standard to regulate. This study is intended to make a framework for standardization of lithium-ion battery module product using A Framework for Analysis, Comparison, and Testing of Standard (FACTS) approach. There are three stages in FACTS approach, they are analysis, comparison, and testing. Based on the result of this research, the framework of lithium-ion battery module product standard consists of 8 parameters
